This Privacy Policy explains how the GER Training App (the "App"), the official 10 km training companion for the Great Ethiopian Run, collects, uses, and protects your information. By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect only what the App needs to create your training plan, run the community features, and let you sign in. All of it is linked to your account.

We do not collect precise (GPS) location. "City" is a free-text field you type yourself. We do not collect payment information in the App.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or share it with data brokers.
To generate and adapt your AI-assisted plan, the training inputs you provide in the coaching questionnaire (for example your goal, experience, weekly distance, and any age, height, weight, or benchmark times you choose to enter) are sent to our AI service provider, Anthropic, which processes them to produce your plan. We share only the information needed to generate the plan. See Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Providing these optional health-related details (age, height, weight) is up to you; the App works without them.
Content you post is shared according to the visibility you choose (for example, with your crew or more broadly within the App). Your crew members and other runners in the relevant scope can see your posts, photos, comments, and leaderboard standings. App administrators can access content for safety and moderation (for example, to review reported posts).
We share personal information only as needed to run the service:
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account (or ask us to), we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or similar frameworks. [Confirm which privacy laws apply to your users and jurisdiction.]
The App is intended for users who meet the minimum age required in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
